To mark the occasion, we'll be launching our βBib and Bubβ tram set for the public to ride and enjoy.
The Museum was first established in the 1950s, with the first tram rides to the St Kilda foreshore taking place in 1974. That's 50 years of tram rides!
Sausage sizzle and drinks available. Tram rides every 30 minutes.
Open 11am-5pm. Official ceremony at 12.30pm.
We Are Seeking Volunteers
We desperately need more volunteers to help us operate our Tramway Museum.
In particular, we need more volunteers to work in our Admission Centre / Display Gallery on Sundays.
If you are a retired tradesperson, or have skills useful in maintaining or running our Tramway Museum, you might like to assist our tram and track maintenance teams on Fridays. Of course, anyone who may be interested in helping do maintenance activities is welcome.
If you are keen enough, there are opportunities to be a tram conductor or driver subject to completion of the required training.
