New members who wish to undertake traffic duties usually commence as Bookshop / Kiosk attendants. Following an appropriate time in which to gain experience and formal recognition, they may progress to Conductor and Dispatcher following successful completion of training. For reasons of safety and training accreditation, the position of Motorman requires regular and frequent attendance at both work parties and traffic duties for at least two years. Before being invited to train for traffic duties, members must be at least 18 years of age.
